My interest in photography began in 1980 when I received a Pentax K-1000 for a wedding present. I weave photography into all my activities, such as skiing, fishing, hiking and biking. While a generalist by nature, I definitely gravitate to the genres of wildlife and macro. I shoot with a Nikon full-frame system for dedicated excursions to capture landscapes, birds and low-light scenes. I also have an Olympus micro four-thirds system that I enjoy using during activities and travel because of the relatively small size and light weight of the camera and lenses. I love how the two systems complement each other and the resulting versatility.
